Who We Are

“Lakefield Lodge” is the Family Home of Michael and Mary Cleary. 

We set up our Bed & Breakfast Business in 1992 and are now recognised in many reputable Travel Guides including “Lonely Planet” and “Le Guide du Routard”. Many of our Guests return regularly which we appreciate very much.

Michael is the Angling expert and has worked with Irelands Inland Fisheries Dpt. For over 30 years. He has a wealth of knowledge of Fishing in the Clare Area and is always at hand to advise and assist Angling guests.

Mary is the full time Proprietor and Host and is always there with a big “Welcome” to our B&B. She likes to make our Guests feel at home and gives them whatever advice, maps and information they need to make their holiday as enjoyable as possible.
